City House Now Open as Riverside Pavilion and Trailhead Once slated for demolition, the iconic municipal grain terminal is reborn
After a decade of work and the persistence of many, the historic grain terminal on the Upper Landing is now open as a park pavilion, trail head and interpretive center on the river. Cantilevered out over the Mississippi River, the complex offers stunning views of the river valley and the downtown skyline. It is now called City House, as it was during the height of the farmers’ cooperative movement of the 1920 and 30s. Rent it for your next meeting, event or special occasion. > Learn More.
